El Tablazo, planned by the office of prof. Walter Bor, is located on the Lake Maracaibo, which is the centre of the oil industry of Venezuela. It was to be based on the establishment of the petrochemical industries. Its aims were to reduce immigration from the west and make a new centre for growth.
