The plan for the new town of Bouinan intends to house a population of around 150.000 inhabitants, providing the city with 32.000 housing units. It is composed of two sectors of seven districts per each. The first sector consist of the new urban fabric, the second one instead should incorporate the existing urban centers. Actually this last aspect is one of the main constraints of the project, since it has to face the opposition of residents, fearing the demolition of their homes for the construction of the new city.
