The plan for Draa Erriche is part of the national program estabilished by the Algerian Government in 2010, which involves the whole area of Annaba to face the intense housing need and the rapid economic growth. The construction of Draa Erriche is still at its initial phase and every attempt of development seems to proceed really slowly. The capacity of the housing provision is expected to count 50.000 units, at the completion of the project, so that it could provide accommodation for around 200.000 people.
