Created in order to protect the palm grove endangered by urbanization, the site of El Menea stretches on a 450 hectares land, whose 350he are already designed for the town development and the 100he in reserve for a future expansion. EXP+Lemay architects won the competition to design the city masterplan, but beyond the 2014 concept proposal there are limited news on the state of progress of the construction.
