New Salhia was established by presidential decree in 1982. It is 40 Km far from Ismailia city.
The total urban area of the city is 1617 acresand the total number of housing units is 5472 of which 626 (500 low and economic – 126 medium) implemented by New Urban Communities Authority and 7436 implemented by private sector.
