Tiba City was established by presidential decree in 2000. It lies 14 Km north east of Luxor city, 10 Km far from Luxor International Airport. The total area of ​​the city is 9495 acres.The current population is 25 thousand inhabitants, but it is planned to receive around 200 thousands inhabitants.
The total number of planned housing units is 3302, of which 2302 implemented by New Urban Communities Authority and 1000 implemented by private sector.
