An important aspect in the planning of a New Town is the planning of health care services. Many New Towns have a progressive attitude towards health care. In some New Towns, experiments are undertaken to organize health care in new and innovative ways. In some cases even a totally new health care system is developed from scratch. Because of this, New Towns provide great opportunities to learn and research the health care systems that are being developed in different regions around the world. (…)

NieuweStedenStudies (offered in Dutch) will search for the characteristics of the suburban city. What opportunities are there and how should we develop New Towns in the future? How can we organize and shape the physical restructuring? What social measures can stimulate a vital city? The two-day program starts with investigating the original ambitions, design and realization of the New Towns and examines how these aspects have taken shape over time. The course will focus especially on what (…)

In commission of the municipality of Almere, INTI is organizing a masterclass entitled ‘Van Wie is De Stad?' (Who owns the city?) for municipal employees (policy makers and advisors).
The course deals with the topic of partnership and addresses the changing relationship between government and city. The main goal is to enhance communal knowledge and evoke (unexpected) insights into the field in which the government participates, as well as regarding its own performance within this field.
In collaboration with the Library of Lelystad, INTI is pleased to offer a new course for inhabitants and other people who are interested in Lelystad. The history of the development of Lelystad has been interesting and unexpected. It is a city who has to deal with a lot of bias, some true some false. How does the municipality deal with this prejudice? The local government has not only to deal with the image of Lelystad, but also needs to find some proces tools to deal with unexpected changes (…)
