The project for the city of Expu Gonga is based on the principles of sustainability, reduction of CO2 emissions, improvement of renewable energies, introduction of green areas and recycle.
Its plan is designed as a cast of “bairros” as unique identities, organized according to landscape features. The resulting scheme is a flexible grid of neighborhoods, following the ground morphology.
Expu Gong was established in 2014 and it is still in the conceptual stage.
Actually the necessity of a new town has been questioned and the Government decided to stop the process of development, since the realization of a new town is not considered a priority, moreover it might become a “debt to the state”.
